One of the most traumatic things that you will ever have to go through in your life is a divorce or relationship break up. No one understands the grief, the pain, the feeling of numbness and rejection unless they have lived through it.

What reason is there to get up in the morning anymore? But then what reason is there to go to bed either? It just feels so big and empty and cold with only you in it and you spend all night tossing and turning because however hard you try you can’t get to sleep. 

When I was in this emotional turmoil I kept trying to make sense of it all and why it had happened to me. After all other people managed to have happy, settled relationships – why couldn’t I?

I then realised however that not only was I going through this but so were some of my friends and also many of my clients!! As I looked into this more deeply I realised that there were many things that we all had in common regardless of whether we were male or female, had children or were childless, were old or young, or whether the relationship had lasted for a long or short time. 

In each and every case regardless of the circumstances there were always certain incredible similarities!  How and whether we managed to survive always depended on the attitude of the person involved.

Was it because we as women:

  • Turn the whole dreadful time into a positive experience moving forward into a happier and more successful life having enjoyed personal growth as a result of this traumatic event,
  • or sink into terrible despondancy and get stuck in our emotional quagmire?

Even worse – do we fall into the same terrible situation over and over again?

Many people with relationship problems experience one or more of the following:

  • Drinking to excess and suffering with the effects
  • Needing prescription and anti depressants in order to function

I am someone who has spent years honing my gift of intuition, have led meditations and given one on one counselling to inmates at one of the women’s prisons in New Zealand.

In addition to addressing several mind, body and soul gatherings, I have also delivered guidance to the women teacher trainee students at Whitireia Community Polytechnic in Auckland, New Zealand. As well I provide one on one counselling to individuals both in New Zealand and in UK. My mission in life is to remind people how to love themselves and heal their souls and I do this by teaching, running workshops, counselling and energy work.
